Our first communication with Karen was in early 2017, we finalized our adoption with her assistance in April 2020, but her support and love has continued to present day.

Karen was recommended to us by another adoption professional that we were working with locally. We met with her at the beginning of our journey, and we loved herimmediately. She was honest, thorough, informative and patient; her parting words that day were,"call me when you need me!" We waited two unsuccessful years with an adoption facilitator before reconnecting with Karen to get her guidance on proceeding with a private adoption. She was just as supportive and informative as our first visit even after all that time!

We were incredibly nervous about how vulnerable social media outreach would leave us, but she assured us that she would do the legal legwork once we made the connection with an expectant mother. AND SHE DID! She guided us through the hard questions, the paperwork, the bumpy legal processes. She showed up to the hospital in jeans and tennis shoes on her "day off." She walked us through months of legal jargon post-placement. She drove to Richmond to get a copy of our daughter's amended birth certificate because our finalization happened right at the beginning of COVID and everything was a mess. When we run into her now, she hugs us like we're old friends and asks how everyone is. Karen is exactly the kind of attorney and companion you want in your corner. We are so thankful for her in our lives!
